Conversion Privilege for coverage as adults

Today, some young Americans who reach adulthood cannot get life insurance because of an illness or injury they had as children or because of conditions in their work environment. Others must pay higher premiums to get the life coverage they need to protect their family.

Through the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) Youth Group Term Life Insurance Plan, you can help build a foundation for your children's and grandchildren's future. At age 23 (or age 25 if the child is a full-time student dependent on the parent for support and maintenance), your children or grandchildren will be given the guaranteed option to change their Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) Youth Life insurance to $10,000 or $20,000* of individual whole life insurance with cash values purchased directly from ReliaStar Life Insurance Company. The child will need to notify the plan administrator within 31 days of turning age 23. Additional premiums will be charged for coverage under the whole life policy.

*$20,000 conversion privilege available only with $5,000 and $10,000 Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) Youth Group Term Life Insurance Plans.
