The Active Service Discharge Group Term Life Insurance Plan is offered on a guaranteed acceptance basis if you enroll within 270 days after leaving active uniformed service (provided your discharge is not health or disability related). It's an affordable option to replace some of your SGLI benefits.
A choice of benefit amounts. Your age determines the maximum benefit for which you may apply:

Member must be covered for Spouse1 to be eligible. Spouse1 coverage is limited to 50% of Member amount, not to exceed the maximum coverage available based on Spouse’s1 age. |
*Your coverage reduces to $80,000 on or after your 70th birthday if you have more than $80,000 of coverage. At age 80, your coverage reduces to an $11,000 benefit.
